\nHow are capital gains calculated for sovereign gold bonds?
\nIf sovereign gold bonds are sold in the secondary market before maturity after three or more years since purchase, capital gains on these transactions will be taxed at 20% with indexation. However, if they are sold within three years of purchase, the capital gains would be subject to the marginal tax rate. Our team is working to provide separate capital gains reports with and without indexation for this category, and these new reports should be available in the next public software update.

The bonds are mostly issued by government-promoted entities hence, come with the highest level of credit rating and provide investors a sense of safety compared to other corporate bonds.
\nSupport for traded bonds in MProfit was one of the most requested features from our clients. The current version supports live prices (end of the day prices) of traded bonds in capital market segment and also provides short term and long term capital gains reports for traded bonds.

\nThe number one request from Advisors has been the ability to share data with clients. MProfit Sync allows advisors to share data in a secure manner with clients. Once an advisor has imported the data into MProfit Advisor they simply click one button and the data is uploaded to the cloud and an email is automatically sent to the client. Â The client then installs MProfit Investor and enters the information from the email and will see his financial information. \n1. Trading Profit/Loss Reports – Trading summary and detailed reports useful for investors who track their profit/loss on their trading activities in stocks based on average purchase price. The calculations would be different than those generated by capital gain reports which are based on First In First Out (FIFO) basis.
\n2. Income Reports – Reports give a summary or detailed view of income generated from your assets. For stocks, it would include dividend payout. For mutual funds, it would include dividend pay out and dividend reinvestment. For property it would include rent received. The report also includes all the interest income from your fixed income investment such as Bank FDs, Bonds, PPFs, Post Office, etc.
\n3. Quick Reports view – From the main summary screen the new “Quick Reports” button provides quick access to 3 reports: Portfolio summary, Trading P/L summary and Income summary.
\n4. \nA new feature that many of you have requested is finally here – reports relating to annualised returns (XIRR). With our new Annualized Returns report you can see how your specific investments are performing.  Also, by highlighting a specific area of the summary screen we provide instant balloon notification of Annualised Returns (XIRR) for a single asset, an asset category or all assets for an individual portfolio or group portfolio.
\nIn addition, we have introduced new reports for group holdings. You can view the performance of your group holdings by stocks, equity MFs or debt MFs or a combined view of all your asset classes.
\nAlso, this version fixes some minor bugs.

During this 30 days trial period, you will be able to purchase MProfit 1 Year Subscription Plan. The purchase details (Online payment as well as payment through Cheque/DD) will be provided before the end of next week. Once you make the payment, the Activation Key will be sent to you by an email. Under Help menu, you will notice the option to activate the license. You need to insert this Activation Key and click the button ‘Activate License’. The software will be activated for 365 days.
